DescriptionThe new Language Processing, Acquisition and Evolution study group will hold an interest meeting at 2:30 - 3:30 next Friday October 12th. We will be at Cobb 303. Please come out to let us know what kind of topics you are interested in, what format you prefer for the study group and what might be the best time for our meeting.

As an interdisciplinary initiative, we really hope to cater to the interests of language scientists from Linguistics, Psychology, Comparative Human Development and maybe even more. Thus, whether you are interested in speech or sign processing, comprehension or production, first language or second language acquisition, the interplay between language and other parts of cognition, or the origin of languages in humans and how our ability to use language is special or not in the animal kingdom, we hope to see you at the interest meeting. Refreshments will be provided.

Lastly, if you have not already, subscribe to our mailing list at https://lists.uchicago.edu/web/info/langpsych. Please shoot us an email at ronai@uchicago.edu or dlam8@uchicago.edu if you have any questions.
