Madeline Snigaroff is a PhD student interested in field work, language revitalization, syntax, and semantics. She has previously worked with Aleut, an endangered Alaska Native language, to help rebuild a thriving community of speakers. She completed her B.A. with Honors at Stanford University in Linguistics, where she wrote a thesis about the construction of a dictionary for Aleut learners. She is thrilled to continue her studies as a PhD at UChicago.
