Sercan Karakas is a third-year PhD student in linguistics with a focus on formal semantics and natural language processing. His research interests include negation, modality, questions and natural language understanding. He has worked on projects investigating the intersection of semantic & syntactic theory and computational approaches to language. Sercan holds a B.A. from Middle East Technical University and an M.A. from Boğaziçi University.
