On Feb 24, our own Aurora Martinez del Rio (PhD candidate, UChicago) will be presenting part of her dissertation work comparing reduction processes in fingerspelling and signs in American Sign Language. On March 3, Kanishka Misra (PhD candidate, Purdue University) will be joining us virtually to talk about his recent work on evaluating the reasoning capacities of pre-trained language models. Details of the talk information will be sent out 1-2 weeks prior to the meeting.
